At the farm, the farmstand sells GTF produce, fresh baked pastries and other local goods from Wednesday to Saturday, with a farm to table restaurant alongside. They also run market stalls at Portland State University, Beaverton, Corvallis and Newport on Saturdays and Hillsdale on Sundays.

Suzanne Willow and Lanita Witt drove up snowy Shale City Road on the last morning of 1984, looked down into a hidden valley with a big barn and a little house, and put in an offer two weeks later. They built a dairy goat operation that keeps continuity with more than 150 years of grazing on this ground while undoing what earlier use took out: cattle were fenced off the land in 2008, roughly 80 acres of eroded wetland have been regenerated until Western Pond Turtles came back, and more than 7,000 ponderosa pine, Douglas fir, incense cedar and sugar pine seedlings were planted into an overstocked white fir forest. Jackson County named them Tree Farmers of the Year in 2007 and the ranch was called a Watershed Friendly Steward in 2009. Dr Witt died in December 2022 and Suzanne carries the work on.
The on site, self serve Farm Store and the farm itself are open to the public every day from 11am to 5pm. The store sells organic raw goat milk from the ranch's own hand raised Alpine herd, in two sizes, fresh eggs including the popular rainbow eggs from their chickens plus large duck and goose eggs, and whatever organic vegetables the chalkboard says is ready, often arugula and leaf lettuces. The farm is certified organic by Oregon Tilth. You can book a farm tour to watch the dairy goats being milked and collect chicken eggs, walk about eight miles of trails, or stay on in the Meadow House, the Farmhouse Studio or the forested campground. Maremma livestock guardian dogs work here, so no visiting dogs or pets are allowed, and it is worth calling for road conditions in winter. - 7

Just did a WWOLF volunteer at the farm. Beautiful and healthy farm. Thanks Saralee and Locavore for an opportunity to see where good food starts. Also went home with two complimentary stalks of amazing garlic pulls. Great company. Store is a nice one!

I've gotten food from multiple CSA's and this is my favorite. The products are actually local (unlike some others in the area), high quality, with a large variety and excellent quality. I especially love that they sell dairy and meat products as well as dried goods. You can pretty much do all your grocery shopping here!
