Ice cream is to die for, apple picking, pumpkin picking season is here!!!

Very nice store!

Homemade since 1831 4 good size portions for only $9.99 Tons of fun in different choices This is a super bargain.

Friendly place for local produce, fruits, cheeses and more.

Very friendly service Made you feel like they care about your shopping experience. I wish I lived closer.

I haven't lived in CT for 20 years and visited the Orchard on Sunday. I was disappointed comparing it to years ago. They had an alpaca, a goat and some chickens in the back. They were obviously adorable but the area didn't seem well kept. They were not interested in me or my 7 year old niece and were kinda sad. I didn't see water but plenty of hay. It's too early for picking fruit so besides the market there was nothing to see. The 🥧's were not as good as I remember but the Cranberry loaf was amazing. Check the website before visiting for the daily activities. We drove 45 minutes and spent 45 minutes there. That's stretching it out. It wasn't busy until we were leaving at 2pm. It's better in October with pumpkins and hayrides. 🚜🛻

We drove over 1 hour to the Activity Center for the Gem mining activity (grandchildren), only to be SO disappointed when the activity was closed! We had called their number before we left and the recording did not list this as a closed activity. Several other grandparents were disappointed as well, not to mention the children's frustration. The cost of these activities is high- grandparents/ parents are paying 10$ each to stand around and watch the children (and of course there is a fee for the kids too). We understand the employees need to be paid, but for an average family of 4 people, it is expensive. Bring your wallet!

I bought Gifford ice cream, best I've cream that I ever had and I'm in my 70's.

Best ice cream and the store always has a great selection of fresh produce and freshly baked pies.

Lovely spot! Despite the rain we enjoyed their ciders and apple wines outside under their lovely tent and as the evening went on more folks joined and the band geared up to play. We loved the dry ciders and honey peach melba wine especially! They serve drinks and food outside and have bathrooms conveniently nearby. They have some animals such as llamas, chickens, and goats and it's a dog friendly establishment so very family oriented. And don't forget to check out their farm market and ice cream!

I kept seeing the sign on the highway and just drove by for years. But I'm glad I finally stopped in to get some fruits. I didn't go picking for fruit, I just shopped in the store. Many fresh items and they have a small selection of wines and an area in the back for wine tasting. I love the pear wine. Crisp and refreshing. The Bishops peach salad dressing is delicious. I use it with my spinach salads. Try a splash over fresh fruit. I loved it. And don't forget to buy one of their fresh baked pies. Just yummy.

Lovely orchard to buy you fruits, veg and jams. Also a nice plant nursery is at the site.

I love coming here when im in CT., I make it a point to stop here on my way home, I live in NYC, Brooklyn to be exact, we dont have anything near what you guys have in your location. I like the fresh breads- salt and butter, also my favorite is the vegetable chips. And the variety of fresh fruits and veggies. I plan to try other things here they all look so good. Can't wait for my next return.

We went to Bishop’s Orchards in Guilford during their Construction Time event and it was such a fun day out. Tons of hands-on activities.... mini diggers, pretend bulldozers and excavators, giant tires to climb through- if your kid likes dirt and machines, this is basically paradise. Only heads up: everyone has to pay to get in, whether you’re playing or just supervising. I get it, but if you’re rolling in with a bigger group or multiple adults, it adds up fast. There’s also a tractor ride that pulls carts... and it goes way faster than you’d expect 😂 The kids screamed-laughed the whole time. There’s a massive slide (my daughter was just shy of the height requirement ), tons of space to run around, and picnic tables everywhere. The unexpected MVP: the corn kernel barn. I cannot explain how weirdly satisfying it was to jump into a giant barn full of kernels. It’s heavy, cozy, messy, and you WILL be finding corn in your pockets, shoes, and hair two days later. Totally worth it. Food truck on-site, plenty of shady seating, bathrooms nearby, and the little market/store is great if you want treats for the ride home. We also happened to go when you could pick flowers — the bouquets came out gorgeous. All in all, 10/10 day trip. Great for kids, fun for adults who still have a little kid in them, and totally worth catching while the event is running. We’ll definitely be watching for it next year!

The pictures speak for themselves… I have been there twice so far, and the only reason I haven’t visited more often is because of the 40 minute drive. Well worth it though… Staff is approachable, knowledgeable and friendly. What I have ordered and tried so far was delicious!!! Dangerous for a Sugar Addict 😮‍💨😅

19SEPT.2024 My first time here and this is a well maintained place. So many great prepared dishes, quick, healthy eats, wines, cheese, baked chips, dips, soups, etc. Wonderful selection of local wines, fresh, local produce, variety of nuts, dried fruits, deli meats, poultry, beef, fruit trays, jams, jellies, vegetables, and pot pies. A quaint little garden mart and homemade ice cream shop (on the outer left side of the Far Market)with a nice selection of flavors to choose from. So many great foods, veggies, and meals to choose from. All the employees are so polite and helpful. Great day to shop and look around.
