Holbrook Farm

The farm grows its own vegetables on two acres, including broccoli, cauliflower, beans, peas, leeks, onions, garlic, spinach, arugula and Asian greens, and keeps 500 to 600 hens whose eggs go to restaurants through the winter and into the farm shop in the warmer months. In May 2024 the farm stand was taken over by Jonathan Lindblom, trading as Iron Hill at Holbrook Farm on the same land and growing without synthetic fertiliser or pesticide.

The farm shop carries its own picking in season, from lettuce mix, curly kale, beets, snap peas, cucumbers, garlic scapes and rhubarb through to pumpkins and winter squash in autumn, alongside cut flower bouquets, farm fresh eggs, and Holbrook Farm strawberry basil jam and pickles put up in Bethel. The shelves are filled out with goods from neighbouring producers, including cheese and cultured butter from Arethusa, chevre from Little Farm on Main, local honey and maple syrup. The farm also runs a CSA share and sells vegetables and eggs wholesale, and orders placed through its shop are collected at the farm rather than delivered.
