Marando Farms & Ranch

Amazing place! Totally recommend!

We held our daughter's 4th birthday party at Marando Farms on August 23 from 12–3 PM. We chose this venue because my husband won a party package through a charity auction. After this experience, I would not choose it on our own. The biggest issue was the bounce house. We paid an additional $250 for a large, commercial-grade bounce house. We were never told there would be no attendant supervising it, and there is not one mention of an attendant in our correspondence. My 4-year-old has been to many parties with this type of inflatable, and there has always been an attendant. Around 2 PM, the bounce house began collapsing toward the rear near the inflation blower and tube. Children began slipping through a gap between the velcro back panel and main inflated portion. Parents screamed and rushed to get them out. Several physically reached around the back and hoisted children out of the crevice before they could become trapped. There was NOT ONE Marando Farms employee in sight. No attendant. No employee monitoring the attraction. Parents handled the emergency. About 15 minutes later, when it began pouring rain, three teenage employees came by. I told them what happened and demanded a manager. Chelsea and Casey came out. After watching my daughter and other children in a collapsing inflatable, I was on the verge of tears. Instead of asking if the children were okay, Chelsea said, “So what do you want me to do about it?” I refused to pay for the bounce house. Chelsea said she had “been doing this for over 20 years, are you saying there’s a hole in the bounce house?” She then laughed and said I had signed a contract and therefore would be paying for it. Chelsea also claimed her daughter had seen adults in the bounce house and suggested this caused the collapse. The adults she saw were parents rushing in to pull their children out. If an employee witnessed adults entering, why weren't they assisting or shutting it down? Young children were inside, no employee was supervising, parents had to physically intervene, and the owner's response was dismissive and confrontational. Unfortunately, the bounce house wasn't the only problem. The barn was hot with no apparent fans or meaningful air circulation. The petting zoo appeared poorly maintained; only two animals were visible to feed, and I personally witnessed a pig knock over its already-dirty water container. The venue knew this was a 4-year-old's birthday party, yet no refrigerator or appropriate place for the cake was offered. By the time we sang Happy Birthday, the buttercream had melted. The pizza was inedible, appeared frozen/very low-quality, and sat in metal cloches without an apparent heating mechanism. Napkins weren't replenished, and we ran out of cups for water and lemonade despite being told the venue would provide them. The pony rides were chaotic and poorly supervised. We paid for an hour, but they did not appear to run the full amount of time. There was no apparent wristband checking, and the rides appeared to be operated by teenagers. The hayride was disorganized. It operated twice, with no apparent capacity or safety process, and appeared to be operated by teenagers. The venue's pre-party communications were focused on liability and accounting for every guest, yet the children's attractions were poorly supervised. I understand that a farm is rustic. I don't expect luxury or gourmet food, but I do expect basic organization and safety. Parents should not have to pull children out of a collapsing commercial inflatable while no employee is present. When a parent raises a serious safety concern, the response should be concern for the children—not “So what do you want me to do about it?” followed by laughter and an argument over payment. Chelsea is nasty and rude (read her responses to other complaints below) and I DEFINITELY would not recommend Marando Farms for a child's birthday party.

Love purchasing here although not a fan of having to find the prices.

Kacy helped me out so much, I came from out of town and was looking for some raw dairy, and had a trip ahead of me, she gave me a huge styrofoam cooler and filled it with ice to make sure my milk and kefir stayed fresh - FOR FREE! Thank you so much, if I’m ever in town again and need something good, I’ll be sure to stop by. Also the açaí bowls were delicious my family loved them. Thank you 😁 - here’s a picture of the cooler with some melted ice a day later, it really helped keep the dairy nice and cool. A picture of some of the dairy too.

First time here. Went for the eggs and wanted to try the milk. Was not disappointed in this place. Meat and seafood, jerky, chips, yogurts, butter cheese. They have a lot of local and homemade products. Plants, petting zoo with animals, and a juice bar. I got the namaste. It was very good. Will go back again.

I came in April, brought my 1-year-old and it was such a great afternoon. She loved feeding the animals the lettuce they provided for a small fee, goats, sheep, chickens, horse, pigs, emu. The whole place has a really relaxed, easy vibe that makes it stress-free with a baby in tow. The food was also seriously good. Picked up fresh sourdough, homemade jam, and a mango salsa grown right on the farm. Will definitely be back.

This farm was amazing my family and I had such a great time! The food was really good and the service was amazing everyone here was really nice and patient. The petting zoo is also good I have older kids and they enjoyed walking around and feeding the animals! I do recommend and I will be coming back soon!

Today I took my animal loving two year old to the petting zoo here. This was the best hidden gem that I have ever found since moving ti South Florida 15 years ago. The petting zoo was so nice for young chicken, the food was amazing!! We had homemade focaccia bread, ice cream and I bought home their salsa and wow…. Jus WoW!!!! What’s cool place to spend the morning and have some snacks with my son!! I can’t wait to go back with my older son!!!!
