Hardwicke Farms raises registered Nubian dairy goats in Richmond Hill, Georgia, just outside Savannah, along with exactly two Sables the family is happy to claim as well.
The herd is built for the milking pail and the show ring, and the milkers, the bucks and each season's breeding plan are published animal by animal on the farm's own site. Several of their does hold permanent championships, and one placed in the top twenty at the 2024 ADGA National Show in Louisville.
Herd health gets the same attention as the pedigrees. Every animal is tested each year for CAE, and the raw, unpasteurised milk from the negative does is pooled to feed the kids, because the family believes it gives them the best possible start.
