We got the chance to stay at Whipporwill Farms with our RV a few weeks ago, and we are so glad we did. What a cool place! We found it through Harvest Hosts and made our reservation for the 30-amp plug-in spot on their website. We were personally greeted at the front gate by Marissa who showed us to our level, shaded parking spot and gave us a quick overview. We arrived close to sunset so we didn't get much time, but were able to take our dog for a walk on a private driveway that passed by their large produce fields as well as the pasture for their pigs, what a sight to see them roaming and running as a group. So peaceful and beautiful! We purchased some pork products which were delivered to us, and had a quiet and restful night. We would highly recommend this campground, and also just visiting the farm to learn about the important farming practices they are using.
Camped here for 3nights and loved every minute of it. Their eggs are amazing and the maple sausages are so good. Can't wait to go back.
We recently stayed (April 2 - 3) and had a relaxing, enjoyable stay. We had stayed there before 2 years ago and because of that positive experience, we were pleased to be able to stay again. Easy to get to and we enjoy the sounds of the birds and farm animals. Making reservations was easy, ordering products from their farm was easy. The site we were at was level. A nice place to rest after a day of driving.
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

Our last trip to Whippoorwill Farms, our second trip with more to come, was awesome. Each time we have had a different and wonderful experience. This last trip we got to help out on the farm with the pigs and chickens, building coops, catching chickens, etc. we also got to see baby pigs born that morning. Marissa and James do an awesome job, welcoming and share their very cool farm with us. Love what you’re doing for the environment, food supply, and making people feel welcomed. See you again soon.
Whipporwill Farms is such a gift to the lowcountry! Produce is flavorful and organically grown. I LOVE that farmer Marissa has a passion for regenerative agriculture and goes above and beyond to care for her land and animals. Meat and eggs are all forest raised too.
We found Whippoorwill Farms through Harvest Host, but decided on using one of their very affordable paid RV spots and we are so glad we did. WE LOVED THIS PLACE! It is a regenerative farm located off the beaten path and much more than a play to stay, it is a place to experience. Marissa, James, and their incredible cute daughter Ellie are an absolute joy to be around. We were able to relax, play with the animals, walk the grounds, and best of all learn a tremendous amount about responsible farming from Marissa. We also attended a great meditation session. Our original plan was to stay for one night, but we almost immediately extended our stay. There is just so much to do and experience here. If you are visiting Savannah or are anywhere near their farm you have to book a stay. I promise you wont regret it. We even filmed our stay and hope to have a video on our YouTube channel soon. These pictures really don't do it justice, but the goats were a blast to hang out with.
Marissa and her husband are so welcoming and kind. They take excellent care of their animals and feed them nothing but the best. I was shocked at what a difference there is in quality of meat. We had an amazing time at one of their events! We also love visiting Marissa at the Hilton Head farmers market!
