Rolling Thunder Ranch is the Church family's small farm in Canton, Georgia, where Chuck and Ellie and their three daughters raise and show ADGA registered Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats.
The family left suburbia in 2019 for two secluded acres, tried nearly every homestead animal from meat chickens to sheep to a mule, and settled on the dairy goats they love, breeding for quality in the show ring and on the homestead. The herd name honours Ellie's late grandparents' hilltop country home.
The farm today is home to the goat herd plus two Arabian horses, three Anatolian Shepherd livestock guardian dogs and a Bernedoodle named Violet. Goat kids are bottle raised, disbudded and sold with a written sales policy. Their entry in the Weston A Price raw milk directory, in their own words, offers raw goat milk by the half gallon and gallon, blood tests the whole adult herd annually and filters and chills the milk immediately, though the website itself does not list milk for sale.
