Kailey Acres Farm

Mike and Ashley Rosenwinkel moved onto the land and started the farm in 2021, naming it after the family's first dog, a shetland sheepdog called Kailey. The place had been a show pig farm and was close to being sold to a local university before the family bought it and kept it in small independent hands. They now keep upwards of 60 chickens, around 30 goats, more than 15 turkeys and a handful of guinea fowl, along with dogs, small animals and a barn cat called Mr. Cuddles who greets anyone who comes by.

The farm sells raw goat milk from its own herd of ADGA registered Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats, fresh or frozen and quadruple filtered, by the quart, half gallon or gallon, with a refundable deposit on any jars the farm supplies and no charge on refill visits. Herdshares are offered on enquiry. The chickens are primarily out on pasture with a little chicken mix to tide them over, so the eggs are sold as pasture raised free range eggs, washed or unwashed, by the dozen. Black slate and black spanish heritage turkey poults, along with Nigerian Dwarf goats and kids, come up for sale through the year, and the family are happy to be contacted directly to arrange a visit.
