The Farm at Thorne Gut is a state licensed micro dairy at Nanjemoy, Maryland selling raw Jersey cow milk, raw goat milk, dairy goats and rare breed poultry.
The Farm at Thorne Gut is a family farm at Nanjemoy, Maryland, going since 2016.
It is a state licensed micro dairy producing raw milk from its own Jersey cows and from a growing ADGA herd of Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats. The cows live on seasonal pasture with free access to grass hay, and are fed twice a day on alfalfa, beet pulp, whole oats, sunflower seeds and supplemental grain. The goats live the same way, on seasonal pasture with grass hay and twice daily alfalfa and dairy goat feed. The farm uses no antibiotics and no hormones, machine milks, and runs a four stage cleaning process on the equipment.
Milk comes in half gallon bottles with the cream left in, so you get the whole product. Maryland only allows raw milk to be sold as pet milk, and the farm says so plainly on its own page. You can collect at the farm by appointment, at Raw Juice Market on Crain Highway in White Plains, at the La Plata Farmers Market from April to November, and at the Winter Wellness Mini-Market in White Plains from December to March. Alongside the milk they breed Nigerian Dwarf kids, milk tested since spring 2025 and tested clean for CAE, CL and Johne's in August 2025, and they raise rare breed poultry, offering Cochin, Silkie, Satin, Ayam Cemani and peafowl chicks with hatching eggs in spring.

The products from this farm are top quality. The lotions and lip balm are amazing. Smooth silky and long lasting. The fragrance is light and delightful. I also have purchased milk which is delicious. We usually are fighting off the grandson just to get a glass of it. Lol. I purchased 2 yesterday and one is nearly gone already. The owner is very helpful friendly and accomodating. All aspects from the products to people are wonderful and pleasant and I recommend this farm and products to everyone.

The chapstick is wonderful and her soap is AMAZING we have a few family members that have sensitive skin and eczema. This helps: ) She also has this lotion bar the saved my hands during the coldest months. Thank you.
