Cole Canyon Farm is a veteran owned, first generation family farm on 20 acres in Laurel, Montana, stewarded by Andy and Morgan Cole.
They milk Nigerian Dwarf, LaMancha and Nubian goats for rich, high butterfat milk used in small batch dairy work, raise Cheviot sheep whose meat finishes on grass alone, and grow seasonal produce and herbs, building soil with compost and cover crops on land that arrived overfarmed and exhausted. Butcher boxes are offered alongside the farm's pasture raised goods.
The farm also leads with education. One to one consulting and the Built From Dirt farm school teach homesteaders and small farms how to cut feed and grocery bills, plan dairy goat and greenhouse systems, and grow their own food, while the Groovy Grazers mobile herd brings gentle goats to daycares, schools, birthdays and community events across the area.
