  1. 1Denley HomesteadDenley HomesteadRaw milk farm in Plains4.9 (10 reviews)Denley Homestead is a small working homestead just outside Plains, Montana, raising Jersey cows, Nubian goats, heritage poultry and Mini Highland cattle, animals with names, room to roam and people who genuinely care about them. The A2/A2 Jersey milk is sold raw with its natural cream top, and the raw goat milk is lighter, with a clean, sweet flavour. The farmstand is stocked daily with raw dairy, eggs from pastured chickens and ducks, seasonal poultry, fresh produce, just baked breads and other goods made by neighbours down the road. It runs on the honour system, taking card, cash, EBT, SNAP and Venmo, and opens daily from 7am to 10pm, with a herdshare subscription for regulars.
  2. 2Lovenwater FarmLovenwater FarmRaw milk farm in Kalispell5 (8 reviews)Lovenwater Farm is a dairy and flower farm at Kalispell, Montana, milking a fully disease tested Jersey herd raised on pasture. The cows are fed certified organic alfalfa with free choice minerals, sunflower seeds, peas, barley, herbs, flax seed and kelp, and the farm follows the Raw Milk Institute's cleanliness standards through milking and handling. The farm sells organic raw creamtop milk alongside raw chocolate milk, cream, half and half, yoghurt, butter and sour cream, with subscriptions available and drop points at Lakeside and Whitefish. Fresh cut flowers grow here too, sold with the dairy produce at local markets.

  4. 47B Farmstead7B FarmsteadRaw milk farm in Victor5 (4 reviews)7B Farmstead is a small farm and raw milk creamery in the Bitterroot Valley at Victor, Montana. Jersey cows provide the creamy raw milk, and the farm also raises Galloway beef cattle, Katahdin sheep and Hereford hogs, grazed in rotation with cover crops and organic microbial fertilisers feeding the ground. They avoid synthetic hormones, antibiotics, GMO feeds, corn and soy. Raw dairy, grass fed beef and lamb, and pork are sold through their Local Line online store, and the farm offers both delivery and collection. Phone or email to ask what is currently available.
  5. 5Dynamite AcresDynamite AcresRaw milk farm in Whitehall5 (3 reviews)Dynamite Acres is a family farm at the foot of the Tobacco Root Mountains in Whitehall, Montana, with several generations living and working on the place. The family milk Alpine goats for raw milk, keep pasture raised chickens for eggs, and raise pigs and rabbits, rotating the animals around their pastures to protect the ground, while a natural creek along the property edge keeps the farm rich in wildlife. Alongside raw goats milk, eggs, honey, garden produce and apple goods from the orchard, the farm sells handmade things, from goats milk soaps, lotions and candles to crochet gifts and peg games. Orders are placed through the online shop or by contacting the family directly, and opening hours run long, from 8am on weekdays.
  6. 6Meadowvale Farmstead & CreameryRaw milk farm in EurekaMeadowvale Farmstead & Creamery is a family run ranch and creamery in Eureka, Montana, milking Normande cattle on pasture. The heritage cows give raw A2 milk, sold as full fat and skim, and the creamery works it into French style yogurt, cream, chèvre, feta and other small batch cheeses. Raw goat milk, pastured eggs and seasonal harvest boxes of produce fill out the range. Orders go through the online farm store, from weekly dairy staples to beef and pork boxes and pastured poultry, collected from local pickup locations. Visits to the farmstead itself are by appointment only.
  7. 7Mossy AcresRaw milk farm in FlorenceMossy Acres is a small farm at Florence, Montana in the Bitterroot Valley, milking a mostly Guernsey herd whose cows are all A2/A2. Guernsey milk is high in beta carotene, which gives it a golden colour, and the cows get grass and alfalfa hay in the field with a soy and corn free, non-GMO dairy grain at milking time. The farm also sells non-GMO feed and raises heritage breed pigs, including Idaho Pasture Pigs and KuneKunes. The milk is sold raw and whole, cream and all, at $11.50 a gallon or $6 a half gallon. You collect from the farm in Florence, or the family can arrange to meet in Missoula, and they ask you to contact them first to confirm availability.
