Border Farm is a family owned biodynamic farm and raw goat dairy in Bozeman, Montana, where Nancy and Piper have been gardening and farming biodynamically since 1997.
The goats are raised on natural rearing principles with herbal care, in the tradition of Juliette Levy: no grain, no chemicals, no pharmaceuticals, no commercial wormers and no vaccines. They eat wild meadow grasses, alfalfa and sainfoin hays and seasonal wild forage, and each goat is milked by hand twice a day through a ten month season, the milk filtered and stored in glass jars.
Raw goat milk and raw kefir lead the offer; the farm's kefir culture has been running since 1999 and is its most popular product. Seasonal farmhouse cheeses, duck eggs, herbal tea blends, kefir grains and sourdough starter round out the farm fresh list, ordered ahead and collected at the farm on a weekly pickup. The farm also sells at Bozeman's Lindley Park farmers market on summer Tuesdays and hosts a harvest market each October.

Love this farm! The well water is top notch and the ice cubes are amazing! Animals and peeps are pretty swell too. Border Farms, means what they say, and say what they mean. The farm operates on honest principal, hard work, education, love and growth of all kinds. Thanks for all the fun times.
This farm is seriously cool and their products are the highest local quality. They also do farm tours and community events. Seeing how it all comes together is a rare experience. Goats are rad.
