Free Folk Pastures
Free Folk Pastures is a regenerative farm in Conover, North Carolina offering A2A2 Jersey raw milk herd shares, pastured poultry, heritage woodland pork and eggs.
Free Folk Pastures is a regenerative family farm on 30 acres in Conover, North Carolina, between Charlotte and Hickory.
The farm runs an A2A2 Jersey raw milk herd share, the only legal route to raw milk in North Carolina: members buy a one time share in the herd for $160, then subscribe at $55 a month for a gallon a week, with the option to add non-GMO pastured eggs to the weekly pickup.
Poultry is the other half of the farm. Chickens and turkeys arrive as day olds, then spend their lives rotating across fresh grass, fed locally milled grains, and the farm is growing Blue Clarage heirloom corn to feed them from its own ground. Two heritage pig breeds, Large Black Hogs and Gloucester Old Spots, are raised in the woods. Eggs sell through Be Natural Grocery in Boone, Carolina Farm Trust in Charlotte and the Hickory farmers market, and the farm delivers to Hickory, Newton, Conover and Denver.
