In Ohio that is the legal route to unpasteurised milk, so instead of buying a bottle you buy a share of the herd and pay a monthly boarding fee, and in return you collect your milk each week.

One share brings a gallon of milk a week, picked up on a set day at the farm, with a once monthly bulk collection for anyone making cheese, yogurt or butter. Milk goes home in glass bottles, either your own wide mouthed jars or half gallon bottles from the farm for a deposit.
