Tussock Sedge Farm

We didn't know to order ahead of time but Sabrina and Savannah were so helpful and we were able to get everything without too much of a wait. The raw milk was our main reason for the visit but we got so many different things. We already tried the honey and cottage cheese with some fruit and it was delicious!! The kids convinced me to get some cherry tomatoes and they are so sweet and fresh. Definitely will be back!

Sadly, I am very disappointed with Tussock Sedge Farm. I have purchased in the past and have been pleased with their meat, however, the price was a bit high...actually, very high in my opinion. In either case, I decided to put pricing aside and wanted to purchase at least a 1/4 beef and some chicken. Mind you, their chicken breasts $29.99 per pound. Whole medium chicken $13.00 per pound average 3.5 pounds ( $45.50 each). Pricing aside, I really wanted to make this my go to farm to support local. Well, they don't want to get back to you. I put 2 calls in last week and one this Saturday. The first, I left a voicemail. The 2nd, I spoke with and employee and she assured me she would give Sean the message. Then yesterday, Saturday I, against my better judgment, called a 3rd time and left another voicemail. I had some questions that I wanted to ask that were important to me. I wanted to know why if I buy a 1/4 cow or even a whole cow, why I would not receive the tenderloin with my order, especially if I am buying the whole cow or at least a part if I purchase a 1/4. Well, here we are Sunday and still no call. I then realized why you do not get your tenderloin with your cow, or the suet for rendering tallow. They sell the tenderloin (Filet Mignon) separately for $80.00 per pound. WOW!!!!! You buy the whole cow but you don't get the whole cow?????? Insane. In either case, I have given up. I really wanted to make this my go to farm, left 3 calls but no return call. Tussock, I wish you the best but please try to do better. I know I am only one person so it will not matter to you but wanted you to know. Thank you.

My children asked me to add more meat to our dinner rotations, so I searched for the best quality meat within reasonable driving distance. Tussock Sedge checked every box - pasture raised, regenerative, local, and delicious. The fact that they are wonderful, welcoming people is just icing on the cake. We usually buy the beef cubes and cook them low and slow for hours. The meat is tender and the flavor is amazing. Online ordering and pickup is a breeze. I highly recommend giving them a shot.

We have been purchasing our products from them for almost six years now and they are just on another level, from the quality to the customer service!! I have nothing but great things to say about this place. So far, I’ve gotten their beef, salmon, honey sticks and eggs. Everything so far has been wonderful. My family and I enjoy the flavor of nutrient rich fish and beef. And the yolk… very rich in color. Knowing my food is coming from a farm who cares about the animals and our health is totally awesome! Ordering and picking up is super easy too. A bit of a drive for me, but it’s 100% worth it.

Tussock Sedge produces the very best meat in our area. We believe in their commitment to regenerative farming practices and love supporting our neighbors. All of their products are well priced for the quality, while ordering and pickup are simple and seamless. I’m so glad we have a farm like this in our area!
