Adelphos Cellars is a family run winery and tasting room in Lubbock, Texas, making wine from fruit grown on its own Cerro Santo estate vineyard on the Texas High Plains.
Adelphos Cellars is a family owned winery in Lubbock, Texas, built by the Irwin and Conklin families after a friendship that began at a small church in Idalou in the mid 1990s.
Adelphos is the ancient Greek word for brother, and the families say the name is the story. Their wine starts at Cerro Santo, the estate vineyard they farm on slightly terraced land northwest of Lorenzo, sitting at 3,400 feet on the Texas High Plains. Primitivo, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petite Sirah grow there alongside Riesling, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc, and every row is hand tended. The majority of the wine is crafted from fruit grown on the estate, and all of it is 100 percent Texas High Plains fruit.
The Lubbock tasting room is open daily. A seated flight is guided by a wine specialist and pours four one ounce tastes, and the bar also serves wine by the glass, sangria, wine cocktails and mocktails, with a food menu of charcuterie boards, shareables and flatbreads. Lunch is served Monday to Friday from noon to 3pm, and there is a brunch on the first Sunday of every month. Live music plays on the patio every Thursday night, and the same site holds wine classes, creative workshops and an event venue with indoor and outdoor spaces seating up to 275 guests. Walk ins are welcome as seating allows, and reservations are recommended on Fridays, Saturdays and for groups larger than four.

Beautiful scenery, I loved it. I went for my birthday and I loved the view from the back patio. Service took a while but overall I loved it.

We had the most amazing wedding at Adelphos Cellars! From the planning process to the wedding day itself, everything was seamless and stress-free. Andrea and her team guided us through every step with patience, kindness, and incredible attention to detail. The venue is absolutely gorgeous, and the day of the wedding was even better than we imagined. Andrea and her staff were always one step ahead, making sure everything ran smoothly and that we had everything we needed. We highly recommend Adelphos Cellars for any event, big or small. Their professionalism, hospitality, and beautiful venue made our special day truly unforgettable!
