What began as an interest in growing their own food and living more simply grew into a community based farm. They now grow vegetables and greens year round using natural practices without harsh chemicals, feeding their own farm store, their community and locally owned restaurants, with a wholesale line for local kitchens and retailers. The farm store on Ridge Drive opens Thursday to Saturday and carries that year round produce alongside sustainably raised meats from the farm and trusted local partners, plus local salsas, jams and jellies, pastries, breads, pastas, granolas, coffees, peanut butters and elderberry syrups. The farm also opens its gates for events: five course farm to table dinners with live music, workshops, summer camps and private event hire. When you pull in the drive, stay right and follow the dirt road down to the pavilion.

The dairy cows are grass fed too, and their milk is sold raw and unpasteurised as A2/A2 whole milk with no hormones and no antibiotics. Hens on pasture supply the farm fresh eggs. The family uses no synthetic herbicides, pesticides or fungicides on the land, and puts soil health first on the grounds that healthy soil grows better forage, which raises healthier animals. Everything perishable is collected in person at the farm store on Caddo Gap Road: raw A2 milk, farm fresh eggs, and beef by the cut alongside ground beef, bones, suet and tallow. Whole and half steers are sold by hanging weight, with a waitlist running for 2026. Shelf stable goods such as tallow, herbal teas and tinctures can be shipped anywhere in the United States. New customers should contact Betty first for an appointment and the gate code. The family also runs an Airbnb, farm tours with Farmer John, the Sparrow's Nest Spa and field trips for children, and the farm store carries goods from other local makers beside their own.

The Farmhouse on Persimmon Hill
I started getting milk from this dairy last year and have been enjoying it ever since. I was fortunate enough to bring my K-2 students for a field trip, and the kids learned so much! When the chance came for me to take a cheese making class, I just couldn't pass it up! God has definitely provided for my family and community through this farm, and we will be forever grateful for these farmers!
