This place is absolutely magical. A worthwhile stop if you're in the area, or even for an excursion. We ended up purchasing some steaks, and the woman working inside had the coolest story as to how she chose her particular variety of cattle. We even got to feed the goats too.
Regenerative farming at its finest!
We are digital nomads staying for a week on the farm. Today we had the pleasure to take a farm tour, and was provided with farm raised goatmilk latte and simple farm to table brunch after. It was such a amazing experience. Sandra is clearly knowledgeable, experienced and passionate about natural regenerative farming. Her animals are happy and well cared for. Similar to the philosophy prompted by the book "braiding sweet grass", Sandra strives for and preaches a reciprocal and symbiotic relationship with her land. Her farm is evidently a testament of her values. It's a labor of love. Highly recommend the tour and highly recommend the super reasonably priced Airbnb, especially for digital nomads like us. Being waking up by rooster and sitting on the porch watching the sun glide across sky is everything you imagined a farm stay would feels like.
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to the Green Family Farms. The have a good selection of Zebu cows--even one named Emily. This is a friendly place, open to visitors and people of interest, and a good place to see what it is like to run a farm. I expect to return soon. Love their store, their atmosphere, and their people.
I had the most enchanting day volunteering at Green Family Farms. This family farm is an absolute gem that offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with animals while surrounded by nature's beauty. From the moment I stepped foot on the farm, I was greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality. Ms Sandra and Christy made me feel like part of their farm family, ensuring that I had a memorable and enjoyable experience. The animals are well-cared for and visibly content, which speaks volumes about the attention they receive. During my volunteer day, I had the opportunity to assist with various tasks, including feeding, rotational grazing, and even some playful interactions with the animals. The host's knowledge and passion for animals were truly inspiring. They eagerly shared insights about each animal's unique characteristics, habits, and the importance of responsible animal care. It was a valuable learning experience that left me with a newfound appreciation for animal farming. The host(Ms Sandra) patiently answered questions, shared fascinating stories, and ensured that I felt appreciated for my contribution. Thank you again to the entire team at Green Family Farms for making my volunteer day an unforgettable one. I look forward to returning and continuing to support your incredible work.
Very cool experience. The family is very nice. The kids loved picking up eggs and seeing the pigs and goats and cows. It is totally worth the drive. Plus the icecream is amazing. For anyone who lives in the city it is a great experience.
