Drove out for raw milk after our friend raved about it. We had been getting raw milk from another dairy farm and thought we would give the Jersey barnyard a try. Well, not only was the milk almost double the price we had been paying, but we were very disappointed in the taste. Most in the household wouldn’t even drink it and we ended up just pouring out because it was just so off putting. We bought 4 gallons too. A bummer.
We are INCREDIBLY lucky here in Bastrop County to have Jersey Barnyard. They have the highest quality, nutrient dense foods you can get. And in a picturesque family -centric atmosphere. One of my favorite places.
Great spot to take your kids!
Excited to see the rest of the farm. The products in the store are high quality. I cannot drink milk from the grocery store but can drink Jersey Barnyards A2 raw. Had my first root beer float with homemade ice cream made from their milk too. My tummy loved it and no side effects!
Once you turn off of the roadway and enter the gates to Jersey Barnyard you can feel the disconnect from the city. A few hundred yards further you'll notice that you are actually on a working farm! A family friendly, family run farm and enthusiastic staff to make you feel welcome. The perfect getaway for a school trip or birthday party. The main gift shop is well stocked with natural products, gifts and Blue Bell ice cream!
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

Nestled in Texas Hill Countryside, the Jersey Barnyard offers a delightful escape for families seeking a memorable experience. During our visit, my family and I were captivated by the intimate joys of farm life. We were fortunate enough to participate in the charming ritual of feeding the adorable baby cows, an activity that left us smiling from ear to ear. The adventure continued with a scenic hayride, where we were immersed in the rich history of the family-owned farm, gaining insight into both the rewarding and challenging aspects of dairy farming. As our time drew to a close, we savored the ultimate treat—irresistible ice cream from the quaint gift shop, a perfect conclusion to a splendid afternoon. The Jersey Barnyard truly captures the essence of farm life, making it a must-visit destination for families and nature lovers alike.
Amazing farm experience with family. The goats are lovely, toddler bottle fed a calf and milked a cow. The dairy cows are ethically kept - live on pastures and grass fed. They sell milk that I can buy without guilt. I dropped my hat during the tractor hay ride and Jenesen (sorry if I misspelled or misremembered your name) and she helped drive all the way back and helped me get it back. This is the kind of dairy farms and people the world needs more of.
Awesome way to spend an hour or two! Bottle fed the calves, pet and fed the goats, chickens, ducks, etc. Took a hayride to see the milking operations, and got to a milk a cow! Very friendly staff! Shout out to Lily for our tour.
