Day Spring Farm

Friends wanted the same for theirs, so the Bakers found a way to share it. The farm offers raw milk herd shares from its Jersey cows, grass fed and grass finished beef, pasture and woodland raised pork, pasture raised chicken and eggs, vegetables, seasonal Thanksgiving turkeys, cut flowers and monthly herbal shares hand made on the farm by the family.

Everything is grown by what the Bakers call beyond organic methods, with no chemicals ever, no GMOs and no soy, and the garden soils are amended with organic compost and minerals. The cattle live on pasture eating grass for three seasons and organic hay in winter, with their pastures rotated frequently, and the milking herd is tested disease free with the milk tested regularly for safety and quality. The farm has relocated to Augusta, West Virginia and still serves its members in Loudoun County, Virginia: vegetables, milk and eggs are collected self serve at Ft. Bacon Farm in Purcellville, and meat shares are picked up monthly.
