The grass fed herd is never fed grain: the cows graze outside through spring, summer and fall and eat the farm's own grass hay in winter, milked just once a day in a Grade A level facility. The raw milk is filtered, rapidly cooled, bottled whole with nothing skimmed, and delivered to the members' Pantry the same day.
Beef is born and raised on the farm, grown on whole milk and grass hay and never given grain at any point, sold as ground beef, roasts, steaks, liver, jerky and summer sausage. Membership costs ten dollars a year and the Pantry opens to members around the clock by personal access code. The farm has relocated to Augusta, West Virginia and still serves its members in Loudoun County, Virginia: vegetables, milk and eggs are collected self serve at Ft. Bacon Farm in Purcellville, and meat shares are picked up monthly.
