The farm shop sells the milk and cream alongside Jersey ice cream, fudge, Jersey beef, free range eggs, baked goods, local honey and jams, and even a raw Jersey milk soap. It is a mixed family farm growing cereal crops and forage brassicas alongside a herd of pedigree Beef Shorthorn cattle, with all crops direct seeded into undisturbed ground to protect the soils. The herd was established in 2001 to supply fully traceable beef, and though no longer registered organic it runs on the same high welfare, low input principles, mob grazed on permanent grassland that gets no artificial fertiliser.
Steaks, mince and burgers are sold from the farm's honesty shop, and you can phone or email to place an order. The farm also hosts stays, events and a supper club in its converted barns.

Calves stay with their mothers for as long as possible, and the farm's motto is simply eat beef, be happy. The cattle are certified 100% Pasture Fed through the Pasture for Life Association.
The land tells the same story. The farm is converting to organic through the Soil Association, with no fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides sprayed since September 2022, and its grasslands have been verified as regenerating under the Savory Institute's Ecological Outcome Verification protocol. The beef, all 100% grass fed and frozen to hold its freshness, sells through the farm's own online shop as burgers, mince, joints and steaks, collected from the farm or delivered locally to the Winchester area postcodes SO21 to SO24.
The Woodland Pig CoMeatThe Woodland Pig Co is Matt and Helen's small farm at Hares Farm near Hook in North East Hampshire, raising 100% free range British Saddleback pigs, outdoor bred and outdoor reared among pasture, orchards and woodland. The pigs form part of a regenerative rotation and eat a home grown barley, wheat and micronised pea mix, with antibiotics used only when truly needed.
