Mary and her husband Stan run the dairy side of the farm, milking a herd of 120 pedigree Ayrshire cows, while Mary's brother Simon runs the arable side and the farm shop. Some of the herd is crossed with the farm's Aberdeen Angus bull to produce beef cattle alongside the dairy operation. Mary and Stan's son Tim set up Northney Dairy Ltd in 2008 and began making ice cream from the farm's own milk, and the dairy now also bottles semi skimmed milk. Both are sold in the tea rooms his brother James runs on the farm, where tables in the garden look out over the fields and the cattle. The drinking milk on sale is described by the farm as semi skimmed and bottled.
