Pembertons Farm Shop & DairiesRaw milk, meat & eggs · Lytham Saint Annes4.7 (393 reviews)Pembertons is a traditional working family farm at Birks Farm on Ballam Road in Lytham, on the Lancashire Fylde coast, delivering milk to local doorsteps for three generations. Pembertons Dairies has been established for over 130 years, and the milkmen still deliver up to four times a week across Lytham, Ansdell, St Annes, Moss Side and Marton in returnable glass pint bottles, with pasteurised, semi skimmed, skimmed or raw milk available in plastic containers alongside cream, butter, eggs and yogurts.
The farm shop, opened in 2017 after a 20 year plan in the making, stocks the farm's own free range milk and cream, a butchers counter of farm reared or locally sourced meat, groceries and a hot food pantry, with a Milk Cabin at the farm open 24 hours. The farm is also known well beyond Lancashire through Tom Pemberton's Farm Life YouTube channel, which shares the day to day of Birks Farm.
The Milking ParlourRaw milk & eggs · Clitheroe4.8 (98 reviews)The Milking Parlour is a small family run farm in Sabden, selling raw milk fresh from their grass fed Friesian herd through a self service vending machine at Cockshots Farm. The milk is tested regularly, and the machine also serves raw milk milkshakes.
Alongside the milk you can pick up local cheeses, eggs and butter. Milk and milkshakes can be paid for by cash or card, but the eggs, cheese and butter are cash only, so bring some change if you want the full haul.
Cliftons FarmRaw milk & eggs · Preston4.9 (83 reviews)Cliftons Farm has been home to the Parkinson family since 1967, in the village of Inglewhite in rural Lancashire, and was the first certified organic family dairy farm in the north of England. Thomas and Iris Parkinson milk certified organic Jersey cows for raw milk, raw cream, raw butter, natural live yoghurt, cheese and ghee, raise the male calves for beef butchered on site, and keep organic free range hens for eggs.
The farm shop opens daily and only sells what the farm produces, down to fruit pots from the orchard. A local delivery round covers parts of the North West, a courier service reaches England and Wales, and it is worth phoning ahead because some products are seasonal or limited.
