The best farms

  1. 1Tate Family FarmTate Family FarmButcher in Cache4.9 (33 reviews)Tate Family Farm is a family owned and operated farm near Cache, Oklahoma, selling what it raises directly to the people who eat it. The family describe it as a farm to table operation, which is the whole appeal, fresh food sold close to home by the people who produced it. Sales happen in person at the farm, which is open daily from 8am to 8pm, so you can see where your food comes from before you buy. There is no website listed, so phone ahead if you want to know what is available.
  2. 2MooShine RidgeMooShine RidgeButcher in Vinita5 (11 reviews)MooShine Ridge is a family farm at Vinita in Oklahoma, milking grass fed Dexter cows and Nubian goats and raising 100% grass fed and grass finished Dexter beef. Dexters are a docile heritage breed that does well on pasture, and the herd is grazed on rotation. Beef is sold by the pound or in bulk, with steaks, roasts, hamburger, stew meat and soup bones on the price list, and you can reserve a share ahead of processing. The farm store also sells cheese made with the farm's own milk, pasture raised pork, eggs and goat milk soap made from raw goat milk, with delivery offered too.
  3. 3Chupps FarmChupps FarmRaw milk farm in Inola5 (4 reviews)Chupps Farm is a family run dairy at Inola, Oklahoma, producing raw cow's milk alongside beef cattle and show calves. Milk is sold from a self service farmstand on the farm, run on an honour system where you come, take what you need and pay by cash, cheque or Venmo. The stand runs year round, and the family also bake bread from time to time to sell alongside the milk. There are no fixed hours, so it is worth messaging ahead, and calves for beef or showing are sold directly from the farm.
