Gowbarrow Hall Farm is a family run farm at Watermillock in the Lake District National Park, worked by the Beaumont family.
Their pedigree Beef Shorthorn suckler herd is a breed native to Northern England, hardy enough to stay out all winter, and the cattle are mob grazed through the meadows in summer so the grasses and wildflowers can rest, seed and feed the soil. The beef is Pasture For Life certified, and the cows eat only what they can forage on the farm.
The beef is sold in boxes of roasting joints, steaks, mince and slow cooking cuts, delivered locally and nationally a few times a year. Frozen beef can also be bought directly from the farm by prior appointment.
