Roast Mutton is a nose to tail butcher's shop in Kendal, Cumbria selling grass fed local meat, wild South Lakes venison, rare breed pork, dry cured bacon and dry aged steaks.
Roast Mutton is a nose to tail butcher's shop in Kendal specialising in grass fed, locally reared meat from small farms the butcher knows and trusts.
Wild venison comes straight from estates in the South Lakes, taken as whole carcasses and prepared in the shop, and the dry cured bacon is made from Lyth Valley reared Saddleback and Berkshire Black rare breed pork, salted and matured over several weeks with nothing added.
Handmade sausages are made fresh each week with at least 95% meat and natural casings. Everything is sold over the counter at the shop on Woolpack Yard, open Tuesday to Saturday from 9am to 5.30pm.

Best pork pie I've ever had!

My first but not last visit to this amazing butcher! Tried their pork pie, great crispy pastry, well flavoured meat and tastiest jelly ever. Further to that, a hint of mace essential to any decent pork pie - will not be my last visit here!!
