A Hidden Gem Worth Every Mile Bunkhill Farm, Greystone The 45 minute drive from Richmond to Penrith isn't something you'd normally do for groceries. But after discovering Bunkhill Farm in Greystone, it's become our monthly pilgrimage - and honestly, we look forward to it every time. The milk alone is worth the journey. One sip and you're transported back to childhood - that rich, creamy taste you remember but haven't found anywhere else for decades. This isn't the watery stuff from supermarket shelves. This is proper milk, the way it's supposed to taste. But it's the meat that truly sets them apart. Mike, Neil, and the family have created something special here. Their beef is a thousand times better than anything you'll find in the supermarkets - and I'm not exaggerating. The difference is remarkable. You can taste the care, the quality of the pasture, the attention to detail in every bite. What strikes you most is seeing the cows grazing in such fantastic open space. These animals live the life they're meant to live roaming freely across beautiful Cumbria countryside. You can see it in the quality of everything they produce. The dairy produce across the board is simply the best I've ever sampled. From the milk to the meat, everything reflects the passion and expertise this family brings to their craft. Yes, it's a drive from North Yorkshire, but some things are worth going the extra mile for. Literally. When you taste the difference, you understand why we keep coming back. Thank you, Mike, Neil, and family, for maintaining such incredible standards. We'll definitely be back - probably sooner than planned! Fantastic Farm Milk Shop with Amazing Service! This milk farm is an absolute gem! Not only do they have a great selection of fresh milk and some dairy products, but their staff, specially Mike, are genuinely the friendliest people you'll meet. Our visit was a pleasure because of their warm smiles and helpful attitudes. They go an extra mile to make sure you find what you're looking for. Highly recommend stopping by for your dairy needs – you won't be disappointed! And a great value. Well done, guys!!

When you enter, you’re greeted by a castle-like building. The vending machine dispenses milk very easily and is a fun experience. If you get to meet Mike (the farmer) he will answer any questions you have! He even showed us the new-born calves!! I am grateful to be able to support such an amazing farmer. He’s so friendly, and the milk is delicious (and great value)!

A great choice of milkshake flavours to mix with milk that couldn't get much fresher. A friendly farmer too. A nice little place that deserves to do well.
