Awesome place, staff are professional and friendly and they have a huge selection of bee keeping equipment, if I need anything I prioritise them over other suppliers.
Love this place. Been today for a great hive side course, which was top notch. The shop as always is my "go to" for supplies, and the honey is great too. Gruff, Angharad and the team are always very welcoming and friendly.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I honestly can’t recommend Gwenyn Gruffydd highly enough. My beekeeping journey started by watching Gruff’s YouTube videos, and before long I booked one of his beekeeping experience days. It was an incredible day, and you quickly realise just how much knowledge and practical experience Gruff has. Since then, I’ve learnt so much from him. I started with just two nucs that I bought from Gwenyn Gruffydd, and thanks to the advice and guidance I’ve received, I’ve now grown to 15 thriving hives. Almost all of my beekeeping equipment has come from Gwenyn Gruffydd, and every item has been excellent quality. One thing I really appreciate is that they don’t fill their shelves with cheap, lower-quality “beginner” equipment. They simply stock reliable, well-made products at fair prices, which gives you confidence that you’re buying equipment that will last. Most recently I bought one of their wax melters, and it’s been a game changer. Gone are the days of standing over a saucepan on a portable induction hob, repeatedly melting and filtering wax to try and get a clean result. The wax melter makes the whole process so much easier, quicker, and produces fantastic results. What really sets Gwenyn Gruffydd apart, though, is the people. Every member of the team is genuinely friendly, approachable, and incredibly knowledgeable. Whenever I call in, they’re always happy to help, answer questions, or offer advice, even when they’re obviously rushed off their feet. You never feel like you’re inconveniencing them—they always make the time, and that level of customer service is becoming increasingly rare. Whether you’re completely new to beekeeping or have years of experience, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Gwenyn Gruffydd. Their knowledge, outstanding customer service, and commitment to supplying high-quality equipment have played a huge part in helping me become a better beekeeper. After seeing the quality of the wax melter, I’d love to see some candle-making tips and tricks from the expert herself. I think plenty of us would enjoy watching those!

Purchased a honey extractor and kit at a very good price and opted to collect in person. They were happy to hold it for me until I was able to get over from Derby which was just over a week. On arrival, we were given a warm welcome by Angharad and time to browse the well stocked shop before making some more purchases including some of their award winning honey. Our order was loaded into our vehicle by the very helpful Shaun as Gruf and Andy returned to the farm for their lunch. They stopped to chat which is extra special as I know how busy they have been this last few weeks inspecting bees and it was their lunch time! we had a quick pic and we headed home knowing that we’ll be back soon. As well as a great shopping experience their You tube channel is full of very useful tips and tricks and sound beekeeping advice, thank you!
An excellent day. Learned so much and hands on a hive was invaluable experience. Gruffydd and Angharad were fab hosts and made us all feel welcome and valued. Highly recommend as a beginner introduction to beekeeping. They also have a well stocked shop.
Brilliant customer service! So nice to speak to someone on phone if needed. I had to send swienty bee suit back as xl was too long for me at 6ft (but guess I do have long torso and shorter legs). No problems with return and they sent out size L suit very very quickly. Was with me in two days from sending mine back! The size L swienty suit is generous enough in torso and fits me well. Anyone else ordering maybe go for height for sizing the suit rather than sizing up for extra upper body width and size. Thanks again! I’m now the envy of my bee group!
Very well stocked shop with everything a bee keeper needs. Dedicated post code takes you directly to the premesis using satnav or on line maps. Staff were polite and helpful. Spoke with owner Gruff himself, who was happy to pause his other work and take the time to explain a few things that I wanted advice on regarding Anel hives. They do mail order via their web site, but there is no substitute for visiting to see some of the equipment with your own eyes. I was pleased and impressed.
