Wild By Nature
Wild by Nature is a regenerative family farm at Longtown in the Black Mountains of Herefordshire, selling 100% pasture fed beef, charcuterie and natural pork from its own on farm butchery.
Wild by Nature is a family farm in the Black Mountains on the border of England and Wales, farming regeneratively at Lower House Farm in Longtown, Herefordshire.
All of the cattle and sheep are 100% pasture fed, traditional native breeds chosen to suit the hills and given time to mature and develop naturally. Livestock are managed to increase biodiversity and regenerate the soil, an ethos that also runs through the no dig vegetable garden and apple orchards.
An on farm butchery lets the team dry age their meat and cure a range of farmhouse charcuterie, working nose to tail so nothing is wasted. The online farm shop sells pasture fed beef biltong, snacking salami, bresaola, natural pork and seasonal sheep boxes, with a charcuterie subscription club. The family also runs The Bull's Head pub at Craswall, cabins and a wedding venue, serving food from the farm.

We had the best wedding at Lower House Farm last week. The venue and the food were all incredible and we had such a wonderful day. All of the staff were so helpful (especially Natalie!) and we could recommend it more for a beautiful and relaxed wedding.
We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue than Lower House Farm. We live nowhere near Herefordshire, but the moment we came down that long driveway, we were so excited - the setting is absolutely beautiful, as are the barns. Natalie, the wedding planner, was amazing from start to finish. She was so easy to work with and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. In fact, I don’t think we heard the word “no” once throughout the whole planning process! They were incredibly flexible and accommodating, which made planning our wedding so much easier and, honestly, pretty stress-free. We also really appreciated how much was included. Things like lawn games, décor and fire pits weren’t charged as extras, which made such a difference compared with some other venues. We somehow managed to have a wet June wedding during what has been a long, hot, dry summer! We had originally planned to get married under the beautiful oak tree, but had to move into the covered barn. And honestly, it didn’t matter one bit. The set-up looked absolutely incredible and was every bit as beautiful as we’d imagined. The food was another real highlight - it was incredible, and all of our guests commented on how much they loved it. Most importantly, everyone had the best time. Genuinely, we couldn’t have asked for more from Lower House Farm. We’re so, so glad we chose to get married there and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone. It was the perfect setting for our day, and we can’t wait to go back and visit again sometime! C + P x.
