Yall! This place! When I pulled up, I saw a child with a sheep, which both sheep and child had impeccable manners: ) Mackey Meadows was there with holistic remedies. I bought yogurt, chicken, bacon, beef, tinctures, tallow soap and had the privilege to take in a homestead vibe, full of respect, love and a lifestyle I admired greatly. Thank you so much for giving us an opportunity to but locally sourced products that are sure to please. Highly recommend a visit! This is now my go to for these items. Thankful Professor V and Coach Jeremiah at Royce Gracie Academy in Gadsden shared this place AND YOGURT with me.
We had a wonderful experience getting our lamb from this farm. The people here are genuinely honest, hardworking, and truly care about what they do. It feels great knowing we’re supporting local farmers who raise their animals with integrity. The process was smooth from start to finish, and the quality is outstanding. Highly recommend! We can't wait to come back!!!
What a nice family, beautiful farm, and great products! First time here, and very pleased. Beef, pork, and organ meats are top notch. The mild sausage is excellent, seasoning is spot-on with a clean bright flavor. I made my own lard for the first time with great results, and I finally have a source for grass fed raw milk. Will definitely be back again and again.

The lamb was incredibly tender and flavorful, the beef rich and perfectly marbled, and the chicken fresh and delicious—far beyond anything store-bought. What makes this farm truly special is their commitment to regenerative farming and raising animals humanely on pasture, the way God intended. You can taste the difference in the quality and care they put into their work. Thank you!! Every product that I've tried from Earnest Roots Farm has been wonderful! Knowing the source of our food and supporting local business is high on my list of priorities, and I had a great experience overall. Ordering is simple, I chose a drop location closest to me and received notification when it was ready. I've had their chicken drumsticks and there is a definite taste advantage over what I can get in the grocery store. We also like their pork bone broth as the base for homemade tonkotsu ramen since it's something that can't usually be found anywhere else. 10/10 highly recommend!
