Rady Family Farmstead is a family run farm in Fairbanks, Alaska built around a small herd of dairy cows and a raw milk herd share.
Becoming a member makes you part owner of the herd, which means you can legally take home the milk and anything made from it. The cows are real characters, among them LaDonna, whose milk is A2A2, and Elsa.
Members collect milk fresh from the farm, or make their own butter and yoghurt at home. The family also keeps cattle, chickens, goats, pigs, ducks and geese alongside vegetables, and they are happy to talk you through how the herd share works by email, text or in person.
