Had an amazing time with Desiree and her family. She has eggs, milk, ghee, butter, and more! Can’t wait to do her horse camp for my kids in July.
They have the best fresh dairy! They’ve ruined me for store bought. The butter is my favorite, but everything is great! I also love that they let you tour their processing area and animals. Highly recommend!
Best milk I have had! They are also very accommodating with my chaotic schedule and work with me when I need an alternative pickup time. Very clean process.
AK Mountain View Family Farm is a Fairbanks, Alaska family dairy sharing raw milk through a herdshare, with cream, butter, yogurt, eggs, poultry, rabbit, beef and pork.
AK Mountain View Family Farm is a small family dairy founded in 2022 in Fairbanks, Alaska, nine miles up Chena Hot Springs Road. Raw milk is shared through a herdshare: members own part of the herd, pay a monthly boarding fee, and swap clean glass jars for full ones in the milk fridge at the end of the driveway. The cows are milked twice a day, the milk is chilled to below 40F within the hour, and somatic cell counts are tested at least monthly alongside the farm's own lab checks.
The 2026 price sheet runs from raw whole milk, cream, butter, buttermilk and yogurt to eggs, whole chickens, turkeys and rabbits, with beef and pork sold by the whole or half and tallow and lard on the side. Raw dairy is also stocked at The Roaming Root Cellar on College Road in Fairbanks, and the family hopes to open the farm for workshops and hands on visits.
