AK Mountain View Family Farm is a small family dairy founded in 2022 in Fairbanks, Alaska, nine miles up Chena Hot Springs Road.
Raw milk is shared through a herdshare: members own part of the herd, pay a monthly boarding fee, and swap clean glass jars for full ones in the milk fridge at the end of the driveway. The cows are milked twice a day, the milk is chilled to below 40F within the hour, and somatic cell counts are tested at least monthly alongside the farm's own lab checks.
The 2026 price sheet runs from raw whole milk, cream, butter, buttermilk and yogurt to eggs, whole chickens, turkeys and rabbits, with beef and pork sold by the whole or half and tallow and lard on the side. Raw dairy is also stocked at The Roaming Root Cellar on College Road in Fairbanks, and the family hopes to open the farm for workshops and hands on visits.
