Sweet B's Dairy Goats

Mary Scofield fell in love with goats in 1980 and has bred and shown them ever since, now alongside her daughters. The herd is on 305 day DHIA milk testing and takes part in Linear Appraisal every other year, and the family sells goat milk soap and lotion at the Pueblo farmers market.

Raw goat milk is offered through a herd share programme. Members buy into the herd with a one time share fee of 20 dollars for a full share or 10 dollars for a half share, then pay a monthly boarding fee of 50 or 25 dollars that brings a gallon or half gallon of raw milk each week. The does are fed quality alfalfa hay, a sweet grain mix and free choice minerals, all births are attended, and farm tours are offered.
