Plum Feather Farm

The family left full time jobs in 2024 to build a multi generational home centred on local farming, and now run registered A2/A2 Jersey cows on around eight acres of chemical free natural pasture, fed an untreated alfalfa and orchard hay mix with a certified organic, corn and soy free grain supplement.

Milk is sold year round through a herdshare in half gallon and gallon shares, bottled to order and collected at the farm or at pickup spots across Colorado Springs, Black Forest, Fountain, Parker, Castle Rock, Elizabeth and Woodland Park. The cows never receive hormones, and if one ever needs an antibiotic her milk is withdrawn until every trace has passed. Cleanliness is a point of pride, with a multi step wash for everything that touches the milk and routine third party laboratory testing, and visitors can book a tour to meet the herd, feed a goat and pet a pig.
