Larga Vista Ranch is a family farm on the bluffs above the Huerfano River near Boone, Colorado, worked by the same family since 1916.
It is one of the oldest all grass dairies in Colorado: the dairy cattle are never fed grain, grazing lush irrigated mixed grass and alfalfa pastures for around nine months of the year, and raw milk goes to cow share members with weekly pickup at the farm, south of downtown Colorado Springs and in Black Forest.
The ranch also produces 100% grass fed beef, never finished on grain, pasture raised pork rotated through the fields, and organic produce grown without pesticides for over forty years, supplying most of the Excelsior CSA into Pueblo and Colorado Springs. Ham and bacon are cured without nitrites, and the whole farm runs without pesticides, antibiotics, hormones or GMOs, building soil through compost and mixed species pasture.
