Pleasant Meadow Creamery
Pleasant Meadow Creamery is a family run raw milk dairy in Sagle, Idaho, bottling A2A2 Guernsey milk and cream in glass for North Idaho stores since 2011.
The Herndon family has been producing raw milk from A2A2 Guernsey cows at Sagle, in the Dufort Valley just south of Sandpoint, since 2011.
Paul, Debra and the next generation, Christopher and Nicole, run it as their primary living with a team of employees. The cows are out on irrigated pasture eating fresh grass, clover and alfalfa for six months of the year, and eat whole stem grass and legume hay and haylage the rest of the time, bedded on shavings with outdoor access every day rather than standing on concrete or sleeping in stalls. No corn or soy is fed, the mineral mix and salt are OMRI listed, and every batch of milk is bacteria tested.
Milk and heavy cream are bottled in glass, which the farm says preserves taste and freshness better than any other container, and empty bottles go back to the shop you bought them from for a refund. There is no farm stand at Otts Basin Rd. Their milk is sold through retail stores stretching from Bonners Ferry in the north down to Coeur d'Alene, including Sandpoint, Ponderay, Oldtown, Priest River, Athol, Rathdrum, Hayden and Post Falls, and through their own online store for delivery to Moscow and Lewiston. On the land they compost all the manure for a season and spread it before the snow, use no synthetic fertilisers or herbicides, let chickens, ducks and wild turkeys clean the pastures behind the cows, and fix swallow houses under the eaves of every building so the birds keep the pests down.

I just tried their milk for the first time this week and we are hooked! It is the best tasting raw milk I have ever had. My kids normally don’t drink a ton of milk and we are through a half gallon only one day later! The delivery to Moscow is so easy and convenient. The people I met with were so friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for your yummy milk!

I thought I was unable to consume dairy until I learned about raw, grass fed A2A2 milk. I was hesitant to try it because of the bs the media puts out there about raw milk. I decided to give it a try and holy moly! Your milk is amazing! I had no digestive issues and it felt good knowing I was supporting a local family. Thank you for producing such wonderful dairy products and caring for your animals the way you do.
