Blue Heron Farm is a family run goat farm in Chandler, Indiana making small batch goat milk skincare from its own herd, plus farm fresh eggs and raw goat milk for pets.
Blue Heron Farm is a family farm in Chandler, Indiana, run by Curtis and Jill Ingram. They keep their own herd of Nigerian Dwarf dairy goats, a breed whose milk carries a very high butterfat content, and they handcraft small batch goat milk skincare on the farm from that milk: bar soap, lotion, foaming hand soap, whipped sugar scrub, a face mask and lip butter, made with simple ingredients such as olive oil, coconut oil, sweet almond oil and shea butter, and all paraben free. The farm also bottles raw goat milk from the herd, sold as a supplement for dogs and cats and labelled not for human consumption, alongside farm fresh eggs from its free ranging hens and its own farm dog treats.
The Ingrams open the farm up as well as selling from it. Goat yoga, a farm school, summer camps, baby goat experiences and private group goat events all run on site, the family also keeps a horseback riding academy, and Nigerian Dwarf goats are sold from the herd. You can find Blue Heron Farm at the Warrick County Farmers Market in Boonville every Saturday from 8am to 1pm, collect an online order from the farm in Chandler, or have skincare posted, with orders over $45 shipping free. The farm is a proud member of Indiana Grown, the Indiana State Department of Agriculture initiative for products grown or made in the state.
