Steckler Grassfed Farms is a family farm in Dale, Indiana making raw milk cheese from its own grassfed Dutch Belted herd, with grassfed meats and pastured poultry.
Steckler Grassfed Farms is a family owned, pasture based farm at 21477 N County Rd 600 E in Dale, southern Indiana.
Its artisan cheeses are made from 100% grassfed raw milk, fresh from the farm's own Dutch Belted dairy herd, and aged for at least 60 days to develop flavour and texture. Founder Jerry Steckler puts prolific soil life at the heart of the farm's approach, on the view that healthy soil grows the healthiest food.
The farm also offers grassfed beef and lamb, whey fed pork, and pastured poultry raised on true rotational free range, with eggs, broilers and turkeys moving across fresh grass. Everything is raised free of antibiotics, growth hormones, steroids and other additives, and the land is farmed without chemical fertilisers, pesticides or herbicides. Seasonal specialities such as jams and broth are made from the farm's own ingredients. The on farm store opens Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, with other times by appointment.

Freeway close. Beautiful peaceful location. Deliciousness in the store: chicken, eggs, beef, pork, lamb, cheese, gelato and other yummies! End of the road could be relabeled end of the rainbow.

Amazing place, the owner is a wonderful man and good conversationalist, love hearing the history and walking around the farm. His store is loaded with local goodies.
