Lone Oak Homestead

The cows are grass fed, pasture raised and organically cared for, with no hormones, antibiotics or chemical fertilisers used, and every bottle of milk comes from cows the family knows by name and cares for daily. The farm is listed with the Raw Milk Institute (RAWMI), and the realmilk directory describes Jersey A2/A2 herdshares with rotational grazing in the warm months and baleage in winter.

Milk is supplied through a herd share membership rather than over the counter, and demand runs ahead of supply: the site invites new families onto a waitlist. The farm began as a way to feed the family better food and grew into a way to share it with neighbours; the couple's four children, Grace, Haylin, Kinsley and Kamdyn, all work the farm.
