Notla Farms is a small first generation family farm at Macon, Missouri. The family moved back to Missouri in 2011 with no plans to farm, bought two chickens that turned out to be meat birds, and never looked back. Two dairy goats arrived in February 2014 and officially established the farm, which they cheerfully describe as doing things a little backwards.
Today the farm runs LaMancha dairy goats, Dorset Advantage sheep, livestock guardian dogs, two cows, five ducks and more chickens than the family cares to count. Goat availability is posted each season, and the blog shares the crazy farm life along with what the family has learned, in the hope of helping others start their own livestock journey. Raw goat milk is listed for this farm in the getrawmilk directory, though the farm's own site centres on its animals rather than a product list.
