Foreman Creamery is a family dairy farm near Hannibal, Missouri selling raw A2/A2 milk, raw cream and eggs from its own pastured Brown Swiss herd.
Foreman Creamery is a multi generational dairy farm in the rolling hills of north eastern Missouri, about five miles from the Mississippi River near Hannibal.
It is the joint operation of Ben and Isaac Foreman, who come from a long line of dairy farmers going back generations in Northeast Missouri. They grew up milking Holstein cows and drinking the raw milk daily, and have since moved the herd to Brown Swiss for their creamier A2/A2 milk. The small herd is milked twice a day in the farm's own double four herringbone parlour, where each cow is given locally sourced grain, and spends the rest of its time grazing fresh grass and hay grown on the farm and drinking from a year round spring in the pasture.
Milk travels straight from the parlour through sanitised stainless steel tubing into a cooling tank held at 38 degrees Fahrenheit, and is bottled before each delivery run in glass that the family washes, sanitises and dates so customers know when the cows were milked. Glass is used to keep the flavour and to avoid the chemicals that can leach from plastic. The farm sells whole raw milk, raw skim milk, raw cream and farm fresh cage free eggs, does not treat its milk cows with antibiotics, and is honest that it is not certified organic. Orders are collected each week at drop points across eastern Missouri from Hannibal down towards St Louis, or at the farm itself by appointment.
