Their pigs roam and root outdoors, are moved to fresh pasture through the summer, and eat a balanced corn and soybean meal alongside what they forage. The farm is PQA certified for responsible pork production and composts manure to keep the animal areas clean.

The herd began with a gift of three gilts and a bred sow from a grandfather in Illinois, building on generations of family pig keeping. USDA inspected pork cuts went on sale at local markets in the fall of 2024: sausage, bacon, ham, ribs, steaks and roasts, cured or uncured, plus half and whole hogs for the freezer. The farm also sells farm fresh eggs, hatching eggs, and seasonal fruit and vegetables such as tomatoes, onions, garlic and dill.
