The Milk HouseRaw milk & eggs · Gothenburg5 (48 reviews)The Milk House is a family run micro dairy near Gothenburg, Nebraska, milking Jersey and Jersey cross cows for raw milk sold straight from the farm. The approach is old fashioned and unprocessed, from teat to table as they put it, for families who want fresh milk with nothing done to it.
Orders are placed through the farm's online store for collection, and farm tours can be arranged if you would like to see the cows and how the place runs. The farm is open Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm and Saturday, 9am to 2pm, closed on Sunday.
Classen Land & CattleRaw milk, meat & eggs · Albion4.8 (31 reviews)Classen Land & Cattle is the family farm of Travis and Jordan Classen. Travis is a fifth generation farmer by lineage, and the pair became first generation farmers in their own right in spring 2016 when they bought pasture near Fullerton, Nebraska, later expanding to their farmplace in Saint Edward and a storefront in Albion. They believe in farming honestly, morally and intentionally, and work with local landowners on soil health, grass seeding and prescription grazing.
On the farm they offer small batch raw, unpasteurised milk and raw cream from their family milk cow, Sweetheart, milked, handled and cooled at home and bottled in reusable glass jars on a deposit and exchange system. In accordance with Nebraska law the raw milk and cream are sold only from the farm, picked up on site, with fresh milk daily. The main business is beef, sold as individual cuts, in bulk, and dry aged, alongside fresh eggs.
Chapman Family Farms & DairyRaw milk, meat & eggs · Morrill5 (7 reviews)Chapman Family Farms and Dairy is a family run operation near Morrill, Nebraska, built around a raw milk dairy. The family started the farm to feed their own household plain, recognisable food, and that same idea drives what they produce for their neighbours, with the milk kept clean, fresh and simple.
Alongside raw milk the farm supplies meat and eggs, aiming to be a dependable source for the staples a family keeps in the fridge and freezer. Milk is collected at the farm on Saturday mornings, and orders can be placed through their online store.
Erickson LivestockMeat, fruit, veg & eggs · Hayes CenterErickson Livestock is a family run farm in Hayes Center, in the canyon country of southwest Nebraska, where a young couple raise pasture raised pork alongside show hogs, goats and a flock of poultry. Their pigs roam and root outdoors, are moved to fresh pasture through the summer, and eat a balanced corn and soybean meal alongside what they forage. The farm is PQA certified for responsible pork production and composts manure to keep the animal areas clean.
The herd began with a gift of three gilts and a bred sow from a grandfather in Illinois, building on generations of family pig keeping. USDA inspected pork cuts went on sale at local markets in the fall of 2024: sausage, bacon, ham, ribs, steaks and roasts, cured or uncured, plus half and whole hogs for the freezer. The farm also sells farm fresh eggs, hatching eggs, and seasonal fruit and vegetables such as tomatoes, onions, garlic and dill.
Shalom FarmsRaw milk, meat & eggs · LincolnShalom Farms is a small family farm on an acreage between Lincoln and Denton in Nebraska, run by Jeffrey and Lorraine Penner. It began in the spring of 2020, when Jeffrey's parents gave them a miniature donkey called Alvin and the couple built a house on his parents' 23 acre place southwest of Lincoln so they could farm and help care for them. A pair of miniature horses followed, then goats and sheep in 2021. The farm ran as Penner Mini Farms as a hobby until 2024, when the Penners made it a business and renamed it Shalom Farms. Jeffrey grew up on a dairy farm in southwest Nebraska and still works as a computer programmer; Lorraine, who moved to Nebraska from California as a teenager, had no farm experience at all before 2020 and writes about learning it all as she goes.
They milk Nubian, Alpine Nubian cross and Mini Nubian dairy goats, plus a registered LaMancha, in a small milking parlour in the barn, and sell the raw goat milk through a herdshare and a direct sales waiting list. Milking season runs from roughly April or May to October rather than all year, because it follows the kids. The same milk goes into their hand made goat milk soap. They keep American Blackbelly hair sheep for 100 percent grass fed lamb, sold whole on a waitlist, and they say they were the first registered breeders of Pineywoods cattle in Nebraska, a small hardy heritage breed they chose because it finishes on grass and hay with no grain. Beef is sold by the half or the whole on hanging weight, processed between 18 and 30 months. Farm fresh eggs are on the list too, and the hay the animals eat, a mixture of grass and legumes, is grown on the farm. Orders are collected at the farm or at a pick up point at 70th and Highway 2.
Beauty View FarmEggs · WahooBeauty View Farm is the Konecky family's dairy, beef and grain farm at Wahoo in Saunders County, Nebraska. The family has farmed here since 1876 and moved into milking in the 1950s, after 14 year old Tom Konecky Sr won a tan and white Guernsey calf at a dairy judging contest at the Saunders County Fair. The milking herd runs to about 24 cows today, mostly registered Guernseys with Jerseys and a couple of Holsteins, and is managed by Melisa Konecky. Alongside the dairy the family grows corn, soybeans, alfalfa and rye, and keeps around 24 head of beef cows.
The on farm store opens 8am to 8pm seven days a week, selling ice cream, cheese and cheese curds, yogurt, butter, cream, eggs, jams and canned goods. The ice cream is made from the farm's own Guernsey milk and cream, which the family pasteurises before working with the University of Nebraska Dairy Plant, and the cheeses are made in partnership with Dutch Girl Creamery. The farm states plainly that no raw milk or cream is ever sold in the store. One hour farm tours run from May through October and can take in the milk parlour, the feeding round, the baby calves, the beef herd or the crops.
