What a beautiful store and equally beautiful employees. It is so hard to find clean and organic food anymore. I am very grateful for everything this store offers. No need to shop anywhere else!
Interesting store with mostly high prices especially produce.
I love coming here. Great selection and strong sense of community. I'm not sure why the raw milk is $15/gallon, the price has increasingly gone up over the years. Also, the artichokes that I bought were not fresh. But a wonderful place that I recommend and plan to return to.
Hawthorne Valley Farm Store is a really nice local spot. It feels like a small IGA-style grocery store, with a mix of everyday essentials and local products. Prices are about what you’d expect for a small market, and they’ve got fresh local produce, a hot bar, and a small but tasty bakery selection. It’s not a giant supermarket, but that’s part of the charm. If you’re driving by, it’s definitely worth a stop to grab a bite, pick up some groceries, or check out the local items.
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

Very very VERY happy with my visit here; the store itself, the land, the surrounding area. I purchased an abundance of goodies here at the store and brought some back for the family in the city. We are all VERY happy; between the eggs, the cherries, blueberries!— everything is fresh and of quality. This is officially my new go-to! I also got to explore the land with Heather and see a lot of the “behind the scenes”; seeing everything and everyone is taken care of with deep intention throughout the ecosystem. 🙏 Thank you, Hawthorne Farm!
The best store for local favorites. Unique items and quality foods. This store has been a family favorite for years - here my family enjoys healthy mushrooms and meats while we also find unique heath foods and other items. As a daily grocery store, yes, I agree, it’s on the pricy side, but for scouting new health items, it is a gem! Totally worth the 1.5-hr drive from north of NYC. Adding to that, I love my alpaca hat and have been getting wool socks from here for years - usually a pair at a time. If you visit, make sure to check out the back for some clothing and other goodies such as natural wax candles with essential oils.
