Everyday Acres is a 6.5 acre farm in Granville, Ohio, started by Maria in 2016 to raise rare livestock breeds.
The farm keeps laying hens and British Guernsey goats, a rare dairy breed descended from the Golden Guernsey goats of the Channel Islands, raised humanely on a pasture based system. Feed and other goods are bought locally wherever possible to support other small businesses.
Fresh goat milk comes through a herd share: one share is a one time purchase of 50 dollars, then 50 dollars a month for boarding and a gallon of milk a week, with half and quarter shares available, and the farm buys shares back when a member leaves. Pickup is on the farm in Granville or at City Folks Farm Shop in Columbus. The hens forage through 4.5 acres of woods on non GMO grains grown by Berry Family Farm in Pleasantville, and their eggs sell for 5 dollars a dozen at the farm and at City Folks Farm Shop.
