They bought it on 12 February 2015, after it had sat vacant for several years, and set out to restore a place that was once part of a much larger family farm. A small creek runs through the back. The old barn is built from 12 inch square hand hewn timbers, cedar shake shingles sit under the newer metal roof, and the original slate roof tiles are still stored in the loft. Lauren is a registered veterinary technician with a degree in animal and meat science and a master's in poultry welfare, and she sets the nutrition and health care protocols for every animal on the farm.

Fresh goat milk is shared through herd shares, from a herd of French Alpine, Nubian and recorded grade dairy goats. A share costs $50 to buy with a $50 monthly agistment fee, a full share brings a gallon of milk a week, and half shares are available. Milk for pet or craft use is sometimes sold at $16 a gallon. At the end of 2023 the farm said its milking herd was the only goat herd in Ohio enrolled in the state accreditation programmes for eradication of Johne's disease, tuberculosis and brucellosis, and that it is tested annually for Q fever through the Ohio Department of Agriculture. Goat milk soap is made on the farm from three ingredients, goat milk, lye and oils, and is sold through the farm's own online shop alongside goat milk for pets. Registered kids are sold disbudded and tattooed with ADGA papers.
