Waste of time... Didn't have any veggies, not very friendly...
Fish needs to get bigger.
Had a good afternoon fishing at Thrashers Farm pond. Self serve online payment provides access to the private pond. Caught a few fish, enjoyed peace and quiet and pretty scenery. They have worms, crickets, and minnows for sale on site.
I don’t always take a random afternoon to unplug with my oldest boy and go fish a country farm pond… but when I do, I prefer somewhere that has that good small-town country vibe to it. it turned out to be way more than just a place to wet a line. Me and Jax headed out there looking for a little fishing and a little peace and ended up finding one of those afternoons you wish you could bottle up and keep forever. First off, the fishing was a blast. We spent a good chunk of time working around the dam trying different spots, talking trash like we were on a professional fishing show, and testing out a little swim bait we picked up while we were there. Jax was absolutely locked in every time the line twitched. That kid was acting like he was one cast away from landing a state record bass and honestly? I was right there with him. The atmosphere out there is what really makes the place special though. It’s got that authentic farm-country energy that instantly slows your brain down the second you pull in. Fresh produce signs, local farm touches, family decorations, patriotic accents, community boards, playground areas for the kids, and little details everywhere that make the place feel personal instead of commercialized. You can tell this isn’t some giant corporate attraction trying to fake “country charm.” This place actually lives it. Even just walking around, there’s character everywhere. One sign says “Local Produce Just Ahead, ” another reminds you it’s “a matter of taste, ” and somewhere nearby there’s probably a dad confidently explaining fishing techniques while simultaneously getting his lure stuck in a tree. That’s the energy. Jax loved exploring the property almost as much as the fishing itself. The playground area, the outdoor setup, the family atmosphere — it all just works. And honestly, as a dad, there’s something refreshing about finding a place where your kid can laugh, run around, fish, explore, and not ask for Wi-Fi every six minutes. One of my favorite little moments was seeing all the quirky farm signs and decorations hanging around the property. You’ve got wholesome family vibes one second and then a sign that says “Wicked Chickens Lay Deviled Eggs” the next. That’s elite dad-humor territory right there. Automatic respect. And somewhere between fishing the dam, trying out swim baits, looking around at local produce, and just spending uninterrupted time with my oldest boy, the whole afternoon turned into one of those core memory kind of days. No rush. No pressure. Just fresh air, fishing poles, laughs, and quality time. Big appreciation to Thrashers Farm LLC for creating the kind of place families genuinely enjoy spending time together. We’ll absolutely be back… and next time Jax fully expects to catch “the giant one” he’s still talking about on the ride home.
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

April 4, 2026 was my first visit to A Thrasher's Farm. It was indeed an AMAZING experience. My family enJOYed all, but the children were excited about seeing the animals. Thank you to A Thrasher's Farm for hosting the Easter Event. You blessed so many people with your farm. You are appreciated.
Huge thank you to Thrasher's Farm and the Stephanie Wilson Team for hosting such an awesome helicopter egg drop for the community! 🐣🚁 It was an amazing event and the kids had an absolute blast. It was great seeing so many families out having a great time. We really appreciate all the effort that went into making it such a fun day!
We cannot say THANK YOU enough to Thrasher Farms for their incredible generosity and hospitality in allowing us to host our very first Easter Egg Helicopter Drop on their beautiful property. From the very beginning, they welcomed us with open arms and supported us every step of the way. Because of their kindness, we were able to provide a completely FREE event for our clients and the community—something that means so much to our team. The setting was absolutely perfect. Between the open space, the market area, food trucks, coffee bar, and family-friendly atmosphere, it created the ideal backdrop for such a special day. The memories made there will stay with so many families for years to come. We spent months planning, but what we experienced was beyond anything we could have imagined. Thousands of people came out to enjoy the event, and while the turnout exceeded all expectations, Thrasher Farms handled everything with grace and professionalism. Most importantly, this event would not have been possible without their generosity. They did this simply to support the community—and that speaks volumes about who they are. We are so grateful for the opportunity to partner with such an amazing local business and cannot wait to work together again in the future. If you have not visited Thrasher Farms yet, you are truly missing out. It is a special place run by even more special people. — Stephanie Wilson Team.
