The market is surrounded by the farm's own grass fed cows and goats, which graze pasture supplemented with alfalfa hay and a grain mix made to the farm's own specification, free of steroids, hormones and antibiotics. Raw cow milk and raw goat milk are the heart of the shop, sold fresh on site alongside grass fed beef cuts, farm fresh eggs and raw honey.
No pesticides, herbicides or other toxic chemicals are sprayed on the property, a choice the family makes to protect the community and the livestock from unwanted exposure. Shopping at Calico is meant to be an experience that immerses you in farm culture rather than an errand, and the farm also opens up for photoshoots, birthday parties and field trips.

I was so excited to have access to raw milk for the first time. They were kind and knowledgeable about their products/business, so, my questions (and then some) were answered. I love, love, love my raw cow's and goat's milk. They're delicious. Thanks Calico Fresh Market for doing what you do.
Went there today...some cows have 0 shade from the sun...they looked extremely thirsty and hot. The store wasnt filled because their fridges went out (not their fault) this was my 2nd time here...but they seemed to have much less animals this time. It was a different experience than my first time. But its good. I 🙏 they give those cows some shade, fix their fridges and possibly offer more up to see/do for their visitors. 🙏
