Rusty Star Ranch has amazing goat milk, have not tried other products yet but I’m sure they are delicious! Appreciate how responsive they are on the phone and very easy to contact!
Excellent quality.
Wonderful goat milk! Always fresh and delicious!
Rusty Star Ranch's products are amazing and have become a "must have" for me. Their raw goat milk has become pretty much the only milk I buy and their pork is simply the best. Their sausages are so good I've gotten in the habit of buying extras for family and friends just because I want them to try them too. That outstanding farm fresh quality really shines through in everything they do.
About the farm
Rusty Star Ranch is a woman owned Grade A raw goat dairy near Lockhart, Texas selling raw goat milk, goat cheeses, pastured heritage pork and grass fed beef by online pre order.
Rusty Star Ranch is a working goat dairy and ranch at McMahan near Lockhart in Caldwell County, Texas, describing itself as a regenerative family farm providing clean food for your family. The ranch milks its own herd of Nubian and Mini Nubian goats and sells Grade A raw goat milk by the gallon, alongside goat cheeses made weekly from the herd's milk including chevre, raw aged feta, cheese curds and skyr yogurt, plus goat milk soaps and lotions. The Texas Center for Local Food lists it as a first generation, woman owned farm of about 25 acres run by Kellie Parker, using regenerative practices such as rotational grazing and rainwater collection.
Beyond the dairy the ranch raises pasture heritage pork and sells its own beef from the site's grass fed beef range, with cuts from ground beef and sausages to steaks, organs and fat. Customers pre order online through the ranch's shop and collect at the farm or at Central Texas pickup points including Lockhart, the Bastrop farmers market and Austin area markets.
